July 2014 Birchbox Review

 
July Birchbox Review Time! This month's box was pretty good! I love getting Birchbox each month and this is a review click here to see the unboxing to see my thoughts in the beginning.

1. Cynthia Rowley Beauty Silver Eyeliner- I loved this eyeliner! I actually put it in my July Favorites, which I rarely but something from that months birchbox. This eyeliner is so pigmented and perfect!  

2. Harvey Prince Hello Body Creme- I liked this body cream, it smelled so good and the packaging is so bright and cheery! It was pretty moisturizing but I like body creams that are a little bit thicker than this one was. 

3. Number 4 Super Combo Prep & Protect- I don't use heat on my hair so I am not to worried about protecting it a lot. The prep portion of this protect was suppose to detangle your hair. I did love the smell of this product, but I didn't like how hard it is to spray out. I also didn't think it did an amazing job detangling my hair. 

4. Supergoop! Daily Correct CC Cream SPF 35+ - I love CC cream and I think this does a great job! I would recommend it, the two things that are stopping me right now is 1. I am trying to use up products I already have and 2. I don't order online and I haven't seen this brand in any stores near me.

5. SmaryPants All-in-One Gummy Vitamins for Adults- I received an orange and yellow gummy and I loved them. Both were so good and flavorful. They were also very soft and easy to chew some gummies I have found are difficult to chew.

July 2014 Empties (Part 2)

Here is Part 2 of my July Empties! I finished 14 products this month and these are products 8-14. Click here for Part 1. Some of these products have some hair on them because they have been sitting in my room with my two cats and dog!

1. Philosphy Purity Facial Cleasner (Might Repurchase)- I got this in my Birchbox and fell in love! I didn't want to use this up so I only used it when I traveled! Since I have been trying to use up products I decided it was time to use this product a few more times and use it up

2. Oscar Blandi Hair Serum (Not Repurchase)- This little sample took a long time to use up! It was a great hair oil, but I like other oils much better, so I won't repurchase this product.

3. Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Facial Lotion (Might Repurchase)- I loved this product! It smelled so good! It was a wonderful lotion to use at night when I didn't want to use a thick night cream! It was a great lotion and might have to repurchase it! 

4. The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask (Repurchase)- I loved this mask! It was cleansing, exfoliate, and moisturizing! I bought this on a whim and I am so glad I did! 

5. Supergoop! City Sunscreen Serum (Not Repurcahse)- I got this in my Birchbox and loved it! It was super smooth and seemed to protect my skin. I won't be repurchasing this because I like sunscreen that has a little tint to it. 

6. Burt's Bees Super Shiny Natural Lip Gloss in Sweet Pink (Not Repurchase)- I love the Burt Bee's brand and their products. This product was a lovely pink color. It was a little less sticky than 

7. Viva La Juicy (Repurchase)- I love this perfume! I received this as a sample in my Birchbox over a year ago and I tried it a few times and went out and repurchased the full size, I recently found this sample and decided to use it up! I love this scent and already own the full-size and live it!

NOTD: Wet N' Wild Wild Shine in Tickled Pink

This week I wanted a fun summer color, so I grabbed my Wet N' Wild Wild Shine in Tickled Pink. It is a gorgeous bright milky pink perfect for the summer!

July 2014 Empties: Shower Edition (Part 1)

It's the beginning of the month and that means it is Monthly Empties Time! I used up 14 products this month and half were shower products so part 1 is all about products you used in the shower or right after! Enjoy!

1. Dr. Hauchka in Lemon Lemongrass Vitalising Body Wash (Not Repurchase)- I received this product in my Birchbox and I loved the scent. This product wasn't very moisturizing,so even though I loved the scent I won't repurchase because I have other cheaper body washes that I love more! 

2. True Blue Best Tressed Volumizing Conditioner (Not repurchase)- I liked this conditioner, however it wasn't amazing. I won't repurchase this because I love trying new conditioners\

3. John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo (Repurchase)- I love this shampoo! I naturally have blonde hair and this shampoo is perfect because it maintains the color of my hair during the winter months when the sun can't naturally lighten it! I will repurchase this shampoo (and conditioner) this winter. 

4. NO. 4 High Performance Hair Care Volumizing Shampoo (Might Repurchase)- I received this shampoo in my May Birchbox and fell in love! This shampoo made my hair so soft, but not greasy it was amazing! I might have to repurchase this shampoo, however it is a little pricey so we will see. 

The shampoo on the bottom is so thick I can't get it out!

5. Herbal Essences Shampoo (Might Repurchase)- I have had this shampoo for such a long time! It has my name and maiden initial on the back (I have been married for two years). I loved the smell of this product and it seemed to work well in my hair. I might repurchase a Herbal Essence shampoo, but not this exact kind because I don't have colored, permed or damaged hair. 

6. Nelson J Beverly Hills Argon Oil 7 Non-Foaming Shampoo (Not Repurchase)- I received this in my Birchbox earlier this year and I loved the citrus mint smell! However this shampoo has little blue specs that get stuck in my hair and I will find them throughout the day, so for that reason I will not repurchase this shampoo. 

7. Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle( Not Repurchase)- I received this product in my Birchbox earlier this year and it is in a spray bottle, however it was too thick to actually spray out. The product did work pretty well and smelled wonderful, but I have other products that I loved more, so I won't repurchase this.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I know a lot of these products are from Birchbox, however I have been getting Birchbox for over three years and when you get 4-5 products a month a lot of your collection becomes their products, it also helps that many of them are sample sizes. Have a great day!

July 2014 Favorites

   

My July 2014 Favorites! Enjoy! 

   1. The Body Shop HONEY & OAT 3 IN 1 SCRUB MASK: This is the first  mask is amazing! I love using this mask and after using it I added some exfoliate to really scrub my face! My face feels so soft after using this mask! 

    2. Aussie Split End Protector: This is a product that I found after I had used up a lot of my hair oils that I usually use after the shower. This is a great inexpensive product to hydrate and make your hair SO soft! I don't struggle with split ends so I am not sure how well that works.

.   3. Cynthia Rowley Silver Eyeliner: I received this eyeliner in my Birchbox this month and I fell in love! I am usually so bad at doing my eyeliner, but this eyeliner makes it so easy! I love using this silver liner, it gives my eyes a pop without being harsh like a black eyeliner.

    4. Almay Liquid Lipbalm in Pink Pout: I got this product at the beginning of the summer because of how gorgeous the color is! This color is not high pigmented but you can built it up and it moisturizes your lips so much!
