March Birchbox

It is that time of the month, Birchbox time! I love Birchbox, it is a monthly subscription that is only $10/month! Love it and would recommend it if you have an extra $10/month!

1. Rescue Balm (Air Repair)-  I am excited to try this! I love multi-use products (if they work)! I will probably use this for my cuticles and lips mostly, so we will see!

2.Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face (Coola)- I am so excited to try this! I love trying new BB creams especially when they have higher SPF because it protects my skin and makes it look good, well hopefully!

3. Thai Lily Hand Cream (Illume)- I love trying new lotions so I am excited to try this and I can imagine it will smell amazing!

4. Argan Oil 7 Non-Foaming Shampoo (Nelson J Beverly Hills)- I have never tired a non-foaming shampoo before, but I have high hopes that this will make my hair SUPER soft!

5.  Tea Pouches (Mighty Leaf)- I love tea! I am so excited to try this! I like how they have three kinds with different levels of caffeine!

6. Cherry Tango (Ghuradelli)- Who doesn't love chocolate? I am excited to try this, I am not a huge fan of dark chocolate and so we will see!

I hope you enjoyed! Come back in about a month to see how these products worked out! Thanks for reading!

February Birchbox Review

I love Birchbox, it's a monthly subscription which is $10 a month! This post I will be reviewing the products I received in my February box

1. Ayres Bar Soap in Patogonia- I was not a fan of this soap. It did smell good but it wasn't moisturizing at all! I have been using a Dove bar soap that I love!

2. Beauty Protect in Protect and Oil- I used this whole sample up! I liked this stuff, it didn't make my hair greasy (unless I put WAY to much). I wouldn't purchase this only because I like plain Moroccan oil better.

3. Perfection Eye Creme + Concealer by Eleven Skin- I loved this product! I have noticed my under-eye area becoming more moisturized as I have been using this product. I love products that have a dual purpose.

4. Juara Candlenut Body Creme- I was not a fan of this. I have other body creme/lotions that I love so much better and I was not a fan of the smell either.

5. Couture La La by Juicy Couture- I love this smell! It is floral and sweet!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed! Let me know what your favorite lotion is?

This week I was really feeling spring and since spring break is coming up I felt really inspired to wear a spring color. This color is one of my favorites. This nail polish is Mint by Avon I have had this color for many years when my grandma who used to work for Avon. I got so many compliments on my nails when I wore it, I can't tell you how much I love it!

NOTD: Electric Blue by Love My Nails

This week I decided to paint my nails a color that I have had in collection since it started, the color has come off the top. I think the color is Electric Blue by Love My Nails. I love this color, it makes your nails have a wet look that I love. This is a great transition color between winter and spring. It can look like a very dark blue and in some lights it is brighter.

February Empties!

This last month I used up a decent amount of products and there is even some makeup in there! Makeup is hard for me to use up, so I am really excited that I was able to!

1. Beauty Smoothie in Berrylicious (Repurchase)- I got this as a Christmas present and I loved it! I think it was in my January favorites. The greatest thing about this product is that it has gel swirls in the lotion. I take hot showers so when I get out the gel feels so good on my skin. It does a very powerful sweet smell, but since I take my showers at night it didn't bother me because I couldn't really smell it in the morning.

2. Philosophy micro-delivery exfoliating body wash (Not Repurchase)- I was not a huge fan of this at all! I did get it from my mom so I am not sure how old it is but the smell was horrible and the consistency. I just wasn't a fan, I like the Bath and Body Works Glowing Body Scrub so much better!

3. Bylos Bylos Perfume (Might Repurchase)- My mom gave this to me as well, while doing some research I found that this is an old perfume and I don't think they sell it any more. I did really like it, it's fruit with undertones of musk it does remind me of my mom which I like. I might repurchase it, but I have lots of other perfumes that I want and some I need to finish before I would repurchase this, if I can even find it.

4. 100% Pure Pink Grapefruit (Repurchase)- I got this in my January Birchbox and I absolutely love them! I am definitely going to repurchase when I use up some of my other lotions! I would probably try the green apple scent but, I love the formulation and the strength of the smell.

5. Better Homes and Garden Chocolate Peppermint Truffle Scented Wax Cube (Repurchase)- I really liked these. I think they get off a nice scent and it last a decent amount of time for the price. The scentsy wax cubes I have had, have lasted longer but they are also a lot more expensive. I think the Better Homes and Gardens are wonderful for the price and I would definitely get this and other scents from them!

6. NYC Skin Matching Foundation (Not Repurchase)- I didn't like this stuff at all. The color was a little off (my fault) but normally I get over and work with it if the product is good. This product oxidized on my face and made my skin look like it has orange spoches. With this product I always used a tinted moistuirzer or just a moisturizer underneath, and it still flaked off. I was not impressed with this product at all.

7. Revlon Photoready Translucent Powder (Repurchase) - I loved this powder. Especially with the NYC foundation it helped it look a little bit better. It locked in my foundation and concealer without looking powdery. I loved it and looked so good on film and in pictures!

8. Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Deep Coral (Not Repurchase)- I loved the color of this blush. I didn't like the pigmentation. It would be good if you want a light color, but I felt like I had to put so much on my face for it to look like I had some color.

I hope you enjoyed reading! Let me know what your favorite thing about February was. Have a great day!

Juice Cleanse

I have wanted to do a juice cleanse for awhile. I wanted to do one just to prove I could and to see how it made me feel. So two weeks ago (exactly) I decided I was going to do a three day juice cleanse. I work Saturday in the morning at a grocery store so I thought I might as well start then, Sunday I just had to go to church and my Mondays aren't normally two bad. Below is the plan I used it was the Dr Oz #3 Day Detox Cleanse. I tried to follow it the best I could.

Friday- I got all the ingrdients and let me tel lyou it was pretty expensive but I was able to find all the ingrdients I needed at my local Dillons/Kroger store.

Saturday- I made the morning smoothie (pictures will be below) and went to work. I was pretty full when I went on my lunch break but since I hadn't had time to make my lunch smoothie I got a RAAW Lemongrass and raspberry drink. After work was over I made the lunch drink and I was very full. Both drinks (morning and lunch) were okay. They weren't the best thing ever but they were bad either. The morning one was really bad then there is not enough raspberries it in (which happened two of the mornings). The lunch drink tastes like a green drink. The lunch drink is the only drink that I used a juicer for both the morning and dinner I just used a blender. Saturday night I went to a rodeo so I made the night drink and drank 1/2 before I left. When I got home I was too tired so I didn't drink the rest.

Sunday- I woke up and went to church and then made my breakfast drink. I then worked on homework and went to work out. I wouldn't suggest working out while on a juice cleanse I got a little weak. When I got home I drank a lunch smoothie and a little while later I finished the dinner smoothie I had made the day before.

Monday- The last day, my husband actually made my breakfast drink and I drank it on the way to school. On my break I drank my lunch drink and then went to class. When I got home I relaxed and watched some TV. I ended up falling asleep around 5 PM and then waking up about 11 PM when I woke up I just drank some water and went to bed.

Over all I had a positive experience and I might try it again. The hardest part is food is a social thing especially in college that is the reason I did it when I did because I had nothing going on those three days. I didn't have any bad symptoms with it and I lost about 3-5 pounds (my scale is temperamental).

This is the morning Drink

This is the "snack" drink I had at work

This is the lunch drink (it was better cold)

I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the dinner drink since I only made it once. I would love to hear if any of you have done a juice cleanse. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you reading! Have a great day!

February Favorites!

I can't believe February has passed! I feel like the weeks and days go by so slowly, but the months are flying by! Am I the only one who feels like this? Let me know below! In the process of trying to use things up, I haven't bought very many things, so there are not a ton of favorites, but the are rediscovered loves!

1. John Freida Frizz-Ease Leave in Conditioner- I love this stuff (clearly it's in my favorites) but it is seriously the best! If you have hair that is fine, frizzy, and easily tangled this stuff is for you! It is light-weight and doesn't cause my hair to get greasy, a wonderful thing!

2. Bath and Body Works Glowing Body Scrub in Sweet Pea- My body has been so dry with the winter weather we have been having, this stuff is perfect for a little exfoliating. I add it in with my normal body wash for just a little exfoliation and it is wonderful for exfoliating my skin and not tearing it apart. It smells good, Sweet Pea is a fruity floral scent.

3. 100% pure Fruit Pigmented Strawberry BlushThis blush is so pigmented and beautiful. It also came in wonderful packaging, but the blush broke so I keep it in a Pyrex container now. This blush is 100% natural, 100% vegan, gluten free and it is colored with fruit and vegetable pigments instead of minerals or synthetic dyes. I would definitely check out this blush, they have all kinds of other colors.

4. Befine Lip Serum with Chamomile & Beets- I used this serum every morning before I put on my makeup. I love it because my lips have been so dry and cracked this month no matter what I put on them, so in the morning this serum made my lips feel so good and soothed them. My tube is completely gross because it is thrown in with my makeup so I took an image off the internet so you can see what it looks like.

5. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Toffee- This product is in my favorites so I like everything about it right? Wrong, I love how it feels on my lips and how moisturizing the product is and that it gives my lips some color and shimmer. I love multi-purpose products. The one thing I don't like about it is the color, I have had this product for awhile but I think I was looking for a nude, but this color is like a nude purple on my lips. I would get another one of these just in a different color because I wear this one all the time at my house (I actually just put some on before I started typing this post).

6. Nail polishes- I have three nail polishes this month and I have nail posts on all of them so I will the the posts down below.

Ruby Wing- Kitten Heels

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - So Much Fawn

Essie - Chinchilly  (love this color for this time of year. I haven't worn it yet, but maybe soon)

7. Private Selection Acai, Pomegranate & Blueberry Green Tea- I love tea, but when I tried this for the first time I fell in love! That might be a little dramatic but this is my favorite tea that I have ever made. I love all the fruit with the green tea. This tea is a must try!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Let me know what your favorite product was in February! I hope you are having a great March!
