September 2014 Birchbox Unboxing

I got my September Birchbox and I am so excited to share it with you! A lot of these products I love, but I have never tried it from these brands so I am very excited to!

1. Davines Oi All in One Milk - When I saw this in my Birchbox I was so happy! I love getting hair sprays. My hair needs something when I get out of the shower and this claims that it is: nourishing, volumizing, detangles, a heat protectant, as well as makes your hair shiny!

    a. Davines Shampoo & Conditioner - There was also a bonus where they also included samples of the shampoo and conditioner. I am excited to see how they all work together.

2. Dr. Jart+ BB Black Label Detox- In case you didn't know my favorite face product is BB or CC Creams. I think they are such a multi-purpose product that looks great but isn't too heavy. This BB cream is also suppose to calm irritated and blemish prone skin which I can have especially during stressful times.

3. Harvey Prince Ageless Liquid Loofah- I always mix an exfoliant with my body wash, so I saw this product and got excited! This body was is an exfolaint with the scent of grapefruit-vanilla!

4. Mereadesso All-in-One Moisturizer- Another product that claims to do lots of great things. This product says it is a day/night cream, serum, eye cream, toner and primer. I love products that can do so many things I hope this product lives up to all those claims, or at least most of them.

5. Temptu S/B Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer- This product came at a perfect time, I just ran out of my highlighter. This color is a little darker than I usually use so I am excited to try this out!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you have any question about Birchbox below or which product seems to be the best. Have a great day!

NOTD: Zoya's Caitlin

This week I was feeling in the fall mood and decided to go with gorgeous purple, gray color. I love Zoya nail polish and I was excited about it's name (Caitlin) because that is one of my best friend's name. Zoya described this color as a "smoky purple-tinged medium gray with smooth, opaque creme finish.Sultry, mysterious and impossibly chic, a shade that will have everyone intrigued."

Outside- Direct Sunlight

Inside- Yellow Lighting

I hope you enjoyed and are having a great day! What color is one of your favorites for fall?

August 2014 Birchbox Review

I never posted my Birchbox unboxing post here because my August got so busy! I am excited to share with you the products I received as well as my thoughts on them!

1. Laura Geller Beauty Cool Lids Cream Eye shadow in Silver Sands- Birchbox actually gave you some options to choose what product you would like to try and I chose this! When I first saw it, I was a little nervous that this product when be too pigmented and I wouldn't be able to use it on an everyday basis. I found that this was perfect to add underneath any eye shadow, but especially neutral to a beautiful shine.

2. Neil George Shampoo- This shampoo was pretty good. I loved the sample size because I feel you can really get a good feel of this shampoo! I didn't notice anything special about this shampoo. I will for sure finish my sample but I won't repurchase because it didn't do anything special to my hair.

3. Neil George Conditioner-  This conditioner is similar to the shampoo. I had a great size, but I didn't notice anything amazing with this conditioner over other conditioners.

4. Paula's Choice RESIST Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum- I didn't notice a huge difference in wrinkle or the appearance of my skin. I did end up using this as a moisturizer and it worked really well for the nights that I didn't want to put on a thick moisturizer.

5. Whish Coconut Milk CC Body Cream- I was really excited about this when I saw it in my Birchbox. I was disappointed. This had little coverage and it was super sparkly. So, the only way you could actually get it to cover things (bug bites, scars, etc.) was building it up which made  you look like a disco ball.

I hope you enjoyed! Have an amazing day! Let me know what your favorite Cream Eye shadow below?

August 2014 Empties

It is empties time! I was so busy the month of August, I didn't wear a lot of products and I tended to use random ones because I packed up or didn't have the products with me. I did end up finishing 7 products (listed below), which I was happy with! Enjoy!

1. Sauve Dry Shampoo (Might Repurchase)- I used this dry shampoo and it worked great. I am wokring on using a few I already have so I won't repurchase this soon. I think I might have found one I like a little better but I need to test it out some more.

2. Dove Go fresh rebalance plum & blossom (Repurchase)- This deodorant smells so good! I am not one to rave about deodorant but this smells so good that I had to let you all know.

3. Sample Shampoo and Conditioners {Viologie great lengths shampoo and conditioners} ( Not repurchase)- Each of these samples I used for 3 or 4 showers and I didn't see anything amazing happen to my hair. They were okay, but not great. I have other shampoos I love better!

4. Neautragena Shampoo (Not Repurchase)- This is similar to the above product. I didn't love this product, so I won't purchase this again.

5. Shea Butter Nurturing Body Balm with Almond Milk ( Recommend, but I am Not Repurchase)- This lotion was so moisturizing! I loved it, but I hated the smell. I love thew taste of almond milk, but I don't like that smell or the smell of shea butter. I would recommend this lotion if you like those smells because it is great.

6.  E.L.F. Mineral Face Primer (Might Repurchase)- This primer seemed to work pretty well. It is only a few dollars so for that it worked really well. I have been using a few other primers that are more expensive but work a little bit better.

7. Dermalogica ultra-calming cleanser for face and eyes (Repurchase)- This face wash is amazing! I love it! It is perfect for the evening it almost has a lotion feel to it on my face and it left my face feeling so moisturized and amazing! My mom gave this to me and I am so happy she did!

I hope you enjoyed this post and are having a great day! Let me know what your favorite primer is down below!

NOTD: Julep's Nessa

After a month of not wearing nail polish, I decided to reach for a bright color. The color is Julep's Nessa. I got this nail polish in a Julep Maven Box (I only got two boxes and then cancelled.) This polish was very clumpy, that is why my ring finger has a thicker portion on the tip.

Inside- Flash

Inside- Natural Light

Inside- Yellow Lighting

Outside- Shade

Outside- Direct Sunlight
I hope you enjoyed! What your favorite yellow nail polish? I don't usually wear yellow, but it was so bright and cheery I thought I would try it out. Have a great day and wonderful week!

August 2014 Favorites

I am sorry I have been gone for such a long time! The month of August got super crazy! I am hoping I found a schedule that works for this semester. Let's get into my August favorites!

1. Arm & Hammer Mentadent Advanced Whitening Refreshing Mint Anti-cavity Fluoride Toothpaste- A toothpaste has to be pretty great for me to put it in my favorites! This toothpaste does seem to clean my teeth and make my breath smell good. The thing that made it stand out is the whitening power. This toothpaste isn't a miracle worker but I can tell it has made a difference in my teeth.

2. Korres Bergmaont Pear Scent (Shower Gel & Body Butter)- I put both of these in here because the smell is amazing! I got these products for Christmas and have been using them all summer! The smell Beaumont pear is described on the containers as a fruity-green floral with a watery accord. Basically, a fruit and floral scent which I love. I also love the thickness of the body butter! It is so thick and moisturizing, it is wonderful!

3. ElevenSkin Perfection Eye Creme + Concealer- I received this in a birchbox earlier this year and honestly wasn't super impressed with it. As I have continued to use it, it has become a staple in my routine. My under eye circles are very white, so this concealer moisturizes and brings some color to underneath my eyes. This is a pricier product, but it is well worth it.

4. Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm in Pixi Pink- I am completely in love with this lip balm! It is perfection in a lip product. A little dramatic, but seriously this is great! This is nourishing and smoothing with a wash of color. This is a great lip product to throw into your bag to instantly make your lips look great and moisturize them at the same time! Run to your local Target or wherever Pixi products are sold and buy one they are great!

5. Liplicious I Heart Gossip! - Funny name, I know. I got this lip gloss years ago, but I am working on using up products and I found this and decided to try it out and fell in love! It is a very sticky formula, but it is a soft sticky that feels so nice on your lips. This lip gloss also has a small wash of color which compliments the Pixi color above and the two work perfect together for a quick simple lip. The combo gives enough color that you looked pulled together but it's simple enough to be worn with any other makeup (or no makeup).

6. Wet N' Wild Wild Shine in Tickled Pink- Linked is the blog post I did on this nail color. This is the only nailpolish I wore during the month of August because I wanted to give my nails a break from polish and just breath! I will be painting my nails fairly soon!

I hope you enjoyed this August Favorites! Let me know what color I should paint my nails after not having them painted for about a month! Have a wonderful day!
