NOTD: Sally Hansen Pat on the Black

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I have been sick for the past week and have been trying to get better. I also went to my hometown over the Thanksgiving holiday to see my family. I love this color for the fall it is Sally Hansen's Pat on the Black. The color is a deep, dark reddish plum shade which is opaque with two coats. I absolutely love it! Below, are pictures of the polish in different lighting.

October 2014 Birchbox Review

Let's Review! I have spent the last month trying out my October Birchbox products and below are my thoughts.

1. Beauty-blender and deluxe solid cleanser- I never had a real beauty-blender and I absolutely love it! I would definitely recommend it, although I think most sponges work the same.

2. Camille Beckham's Tuscan Honey Hand Therapy- I love this hand cream it smells so good and moisturizes so well. I am not sure if I will purchase the full size because I have other hand creams that I like just as much as we will have to see when I eventually get through them all.

3. dr. Brant Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner- This was the one product that I was disappointed in this month. I don't struggle with black heads, but this product was also suppose to smooth your skin. I didn't find it do anything for my skin and actually felt like it made me skin break out. I was not impressed.

4. ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick in Kitty- I loved this lipstick this month! This is the perfect lipstick for the fall. It is the perfect darker nude. It says this is suppose to be a matte lipstick but I find it to have a beautiful sheen and moisturizing.

5. Sage and Fasten Onward- I liked this perfume. I used it throughout the day when I felt like I needed a pick-me-up with it's lovely grapefruit, green apple and lemon scent.

I hope you enjoyed! Let me know what your favorite face mask is down below!

October 2014 Empties Part 2

It is the start of another month so it means that it is empties time! Watch the video below, if you want to know why I am doing empties each month!

The first three are perfumes: Perfumes are very personal because of scent so I have found a description of the scent and left it below as well as I have said whether or not I would repurchase it.

1. Oscar de la Renta live in Love (No Repurchase):
This is a perfume that features lovely notes like jasmine sambac, rose, ginger orchid, and amber, this modern-meets-classic scent features a bounty of botanical aromas that tug at our romantic side.

2. Folle de Joie eau de parfum (Might Repurchase):
The perfume opens with a burst of freshness from an intimate blend of calming citrus and a light woodsy floral, giving away to playful hints of cognac. Its middle notes—jasmine and Damascenia rose—give the fragrance a carefree, summery vibe. Finally, warm base notes of spicy woods and rich leather add a seductive finish

3. Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue (Repurchase):
Unlike most vanilla scents, this highly concentrated blend of jasmine, vanilla, and lime is fresh, not sweet.

4. Bath and Body Works P.S. I Love You Body Lotion (Might Repurchase)-
A Modern, Unforgettable Fragrance that is Inspired by the Many Beautiful Ways to Love & Be Loved. I couldn't find a good description so this is it. I liked the scent of this, but I was not a fan of the formulation. I like Bath and Body Works body creams better.

5. Scenty's Sandalewood and Cranberries (No Repurchase):
Exotic sandalwood, sweet cranberries, and spice. I did like this better than most spiced scents, but I am very particular when it comes to them.

6. Mainstays Cranberry Mandarin (No Repurchase):
This candle was no good, it smelled okay, but it couldn't even fill up my desk area with smell.

7. Bath and Body Work's Forever Sunshine Body Mist (Might Repurchase):
I love the scent of Forever sunshine, so I might repurchase it not in the body mist. I might repurchase it in a triple body cream.

8. Bath and Body Works Enchanted Orchid Body Mist (Not Repurchase):
I am not a huge fan of the bath and Body Works Body Mists because I would rather wear perfume because it lasts longer. I also liked the smell but not enough to repurchase it, there are other scents I like better.

9. Blinc Eyeliner (Repurchase):
This eyeliner is amazing! It always stays put and never moves! It is actually really hard to get off at night but I am in love with it and I am not a liner person.

10. Notepad (Repurchase):
I write a list most days, it is what helps me stay organize and visualize what exactly I need to get done.

11. Mainstay's Mulled Cider Wax Cubes (Repurchase):
I loved this scent! It filled my whole house and smelled amazing for fall!

12. Burts Bees Super Shiny Natural Lip gloss is zesty red (No Repurchase):
I was not impressed with this! It made my lips so dry.

13. Votivo Azure Garden Candle (Might Repurchase):
This candle smelled so good! I don't know if I will repurchase this only because it quite expensive and I don't know if it is worth it.

14. Your Season Fresh Linen Room Fragrance (Might Repurchase):
I don't like the fresh linen scent, but I did like that this fragrance really did fill up the room and make it smell like Fresh Linen, so I will have to take a look at other fragrances they offer.

15. Whish CC Body Cream (No Repurchase):
I got this product in my Birchbox and I was so excited for it. The only problem became that to build up the color you became a disco ball. It was way to shimmery and didn't do anything for my skin

16. Soho Beauty Blender Dupe (Might Repurchase):
I have had this sponge for years and I loved it. I think for me, disposable sponges might work better because they are more sanitary but I did like how this applied so we will have to see.

17. Covergirl Concealer (No Repurchase):
I have had this concealer for a while and I wasn't impressed it didn't do anything. It never covered anything and ever under my eyes it didn't do anything.

I hope you enjoyed this long list of empties! I used a lot of products, which is so exciting! Let me know what your favorite concealer is down below! Have a great day!

November 2014 Birchbox Unboxing

I received my November Birchbox earlier this week and I am so excited to share what I found inside!

1. Amika's Perk Up Dry shampoo- I am excited to try this dry shampoo because I just ran out of the one I have been loving. I am in love with the packaging and I hope the product inside is just as good!

2. Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Starter Kit- I have never heard of this so I am excited to see how this works. This product is suppose to calm and hydrate your skin which is perfect for my skin at the moment as we are moving into the dry winter months.

3. Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Wash- With the cold setting in, my skin has become very dry. This body wash is suppose to hydrate your skin and have a fresh scent. Hopefully, it can live up to that!

4. Juce Beauty Green Apple Peel- I actually have owned this product before and loved it. Unfortunately, I forgot I had it and it went bad before I got to use all of it so I am excited that I got it again!

5. theBalm's Cindy-Lou Mainzer- I have heard so many great things about this product! I am so excited that this was one of the items in this month's box!

EXTRA: Justin's Chocolate Almond Butter- This sounds so good! I plan on using it on waffles in the morning for breakfast! Sounds so good!

If you couldn't tell I am excited to see how all of these products work, next month (December) I will be sharing with you what products turned out well and which products I didn't care for!

NOTD: Julep Meryl

Hello! I have not done a nail post in so long! I honestly haven't been wearing nail polish. I have been so busy! This week I decided to paint my nails this color by Julep called Meryl. It is a gorgeous blue gray color. I am not a huge fan of Julep nail-polish, but I am in love this color.

October 2014 Empties Part 1

I hope you all had a great October, but now that it is officially November it is time to look over the products I used up last month. This part is mainly shower related products part 2 will consist of makeup and scents.

1. Ageless Liquidloofah Exfoliating Shower gel (No Repurchase):
This shower gel smelled great vanilla and pink grapefruit. however the scent didn't last long. I was also disappointed that the exfoliating part of this shower gel was nonexistent.

2. Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid exfoliant (Might Repurchase):
When I first got this product I wasn't a huge fan but they longer I used it the more of a fan of it I became and started to see the different in my skin. I do prefer physical exfolaints to chemical exfolaints, so that is why it is a might repurchase. If you like chemical exfoliants definitely check this out!

3. Aussie Split End Protector (Repurchase):
This is a great product to put in the ends of your hair after you have taken a shower. I am not sure how it works with split ends because that is not something I struggle with. I do know that it is a great moisturizer for the ends of my hair!

4. Oribe Shampoo and Conditioner for Moisture and Control (Might Repurchase):
This shampoo and conditioner worked great! I loved the scent and it made me hair so soft! I might not repurchase this product only because I have cheaper shampoo/conditioners that I feel like do the same thing for less money.

5. No. 4 Prep & Protect (Repurchase):
I loved this, after I put in the Aussie Split End Protect on my ends I would spray this throughout my damp hair. This really helped when it tried to be soft and even not become so greasy! So great!

6. Davines Absolute Beautifying Shampoo & Conditioner (No Repurchase):
I didn't like this shampoo or conditioner. I didn't like the smell and I felt like they didn't make my hair soft at all overall, I wasn't impressed!

7. Neil George Shampoo and Conditioner (Not Repurchase):
Honestly, these products weren't good, but weren't bad either. I used them and had no complaints but I didn't feel like they did anything great for my hair so I won't repurchase them.

8. Almay Eye Makeup Remover(Not Repurchase):
This eye makeup remover was so oily! It did get the makeup off, but I didn't like the texture it left behind!

9. Carol's Daughter Repairing Hair Mask (Not Repurchase):
This mask was okay. It did seem to moisturize my hair but I wasn't super impressed. I feel like my Aussie 3 minute miracle as well as other hair mask do just as well or better.

I hope you enjoyed! Below are two videos: one is the video version of this blog post, two is a video explaining why empties are so important to me right now! Have a great day!
