December 2015 Birchbox Unboxing

Welcome! Today I am going to share my goodies that I received in my December Birchbox. I am really excited about the products that I received. 

1. Coastal Scents styleEYES in formalEYES- This was the sample that I picked this month and I am so excited to use it. I will see how much I end up using it because I am currently working on using up an eyeshadow quad. 

2. Coola Classic SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer- I received a BB cream from them a few years back and loved it. I ended up buying a full size. I am excited to see how this works. 

3. Kate Spade's Live Colorfully- I really liked getting perfumes to try out in my birchbox and I love how floral and beach like this smells. 

4. Marcelle's BB Cream in Golden Glow- I am in LOVE with BB creams and I am excited to try this because I get SO fair in the winter that if this could bring a healthy glow to my face I am ALL for it!

5. WEI's Manuka Bee Venom Anti-Wrinkle Mask- I love masks and the name of this intrigues me. I am curious how well it will correct imperfections and firm my skin.

December 2015 Project Pan Update

It is the middle of the month and that means time to update you on my monthly project pan.  The products I have chose might not be used up in the month but I want to focus on them and make some decent progress. Even if I product isn't finished it might or might not be in the next month's project pan. 

Listed below are the products I chose to focus on for December: 

1. Avon Smooth Mineral Blush in Rose Radiance- PROGRESS!! I ended up marking where I started and I am excited with the amount of progress.

2. Laura Geller Silver Sands - I received this last year in my Birchbox and this is the first time I am using it! I haven't made that make progress, but I am enjoying using it. 

3. trèStiQue Correct & Cover Concealer Crayon- I finished it! I am so excite that this is finished. I received it in my Birchbox and the formula was okay, the stick form I didn't like and the color was a little off for me. 

4. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Hot Tamale- I started using this halfway through last month, so I didn't make much visible progress. I am hoping I can start to see the edges this month.  

5. Ulta Blush in Splendor and Bronzer- I didn't hit pan last month, that is my goal for the bronzer this month. I can see some progress, we will see if I can make my goal!  

6. E.L.F. Eye Brightening Quad in Drama- I hit pan on one eyeshadow before I filmed the update, the next day I hit pan on another shadow! I hope to hit pan and finish most of it by the end of the month.

November 2015 Birchbox Review

It has been about month since I unboxed my November Birchbox. It is now time to review the products I received. 

1. LOC Matte Lipstick in First Kiss- I was really excited to try this matte nude. I didn't end up wearing it much because 1. my lips were really dry 2.I am working on other lips products for my project pan 3. In the winter I need color on my lips or I look super pale. 

2. Christie Brinkley Complete Clarity- Face Wash + Exfoliant = THE BEST! I really liked the face wash and I actually might end up getting it again once I have used up my backstock of face wash. 

3. TempleSpa La La Lagoon Bath Gel- I love the scent of this! I won;t get it because I don't spend a lot on body wash. I find the cheap stuff still moisturizes my body.

4. MAKE Face Gloss- I have never tried a face gloss and this was STICKY!! I couldn't put it on in the morning unless I had at least an hour for it to soak in. I ended up using it in the evening and mixing it in with my other face moisturizer to make it less sticky. I did seem to help my face. 

5. Bumble and Bumble Hair Oil- I love trying hair oils and I really liked this one. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a nice hair oil!

Lip Product Project Pan Update #4

Welcome back! I decided that on top of my monthly project pans and I was going to do a lip product project pan. 

1. My nail polish project pan was going nowhere and I don't have a huge problem buying nail polish

2. I have A LOT of lip products that I need to get through and I tend to randomly buy/get them. 

I have chosen two lip balms, two lipsticks, a lip stain and seven lip glosses that I want to want to finish these up by December 31st. 

Lipstick 

1. Covergirl Lipstick in Sweetheart - I am not a huge fan of this lipstick and put it aside this month until I finish the other lipstick, so this month this is the only lipstick I am going to wear until it is finished. 

LipBalm 

2. The Body Shop Born Lippy Raspberry Lip Balm- I hit "pan" last month and now I keep forgetting to use it, I have been making some progress. Hopefully I can remember and this will be used up my January.  

LipStain 

3. L'Oreal Paris Colour Caresse Wet Shine Lip Stain in Pink Resistance- I go back and forth whether I like this product, but like I said before I have WAY too many lip products and I have found other stains I like better. I have no idea how long this will take me. 

Lipgloss

4. Covergirl Wetslicks AmazeMint in Un-wined- I LOVE this gloss. I will be focusing on this gloss a lot next few months. I am pretty sure the packaging is opaque, but I have been able to see a little light through the container recently. The stopper almost has to be taken out because there is little product on the wand.  

6. C.O. Bigelow Organics in Strawberry and Cream- I plan on keeping this by my makeup and using it every morning and see how much progress I can make this month. 

7. Avon Glazewear Extreme in Coral Crush - I tried to focus on it this month and I really like the color. I did just have to take the stopper out today, so I plan on keeping this at my desk until it is finished.  

8. Bare Essential Lip Guard in Pebble Beach- I have placed this in my car, and it has really worked out well. I really do like the formula and texture.

9. POP Aqua Lauger in Flowering Fuchsia- As you can tell I didn't make some progress this month. I will be focusing on this in December. I might use it every once and awhile, but you probably won't see a ton of progress. 

Finished Products

1. Life is Good Lipbalm- I am so happy this is finished. I wasn't super moisturizing and didn't seem to last long on my lips. 

2. E.L.F. lipgloss in Oasis- I accidently took the stopper out in March and it became a mess. I really did like the color but with the stopper situation I am glad to have it finished. 

3. Covergirl Shine Blast in 825 Smolder- I finished it! I am so excited that another lipgloss bit the dust. I really like the formula and texture. Luckily, I have another one! :)

4. Avon Lipstick in Frozen - This is similar to the Covergirl lipstick with the frosty effect which I am again not a fan of and won't repurchase.

November 2015 Empties

Welcome to the beginning of December! Which means it is empties time! To watch the video click the video below! I split this post into three categories: makeup, beauty, and random! Enjoy! 

Makeup Empties

1. E.L.F. All Over Color Stick in Persimmon (Not Repurchase)- I used this up in my project pan. While I liked the formula, I was not a huge fan of the color. It was too pink for a highlighter, but too shimmery for a blush. I ended up using it as a base for both those products.

 

2. Covergirl Shine Blast in 825 Smolder (Might Repurchase)- I finished it! I am so excited that another lipgloss bit the dust. I really like the formula and texture. Luckily, I have another one! :) 

3. E.L.F. Tone Correcting Powder (Might Repurchase)- My sister-in-law gave this to me and I really like it. It has four colors to help with tone, but I usually just swirl it around and use it all over my face as a setting powder. 

 

4. Maybelline Lash Stiletto' Mascara (Not Repurchase)- While this was a great mascara, I have a lot of mascara left in my collection and a lot I want to try. So, if I ever repurchase this it was be A LONG time from now. 

5. Tarte Amazonian CLay in MEdium (Might Repurchase)- My mom gave me this and it was quite dark for me, but I was able to make it work. I really liked the formula so once my foundations are finished and I have tried some other there is a VERY good chance that I will repurchase this.

6. Beauty Blender (Repurchase)- I loved this thing! I have had it for too long and it was time to get something different, but I will repurchase this in the future.

7. SmartBrow in BLonde (Might Repurchase)- My mom gave this to me and I really liked it. It matched my eyebrows pretty well and I was getting pretty good at it and then it started smelling bad. 

Beauty Empties 

8. Vasanti BrightenUp! (Repurchase)- I received this in a Birchbox and then purchased a full size. My sister-in-law actually ended up giving me another sample she had because she didn't like it as much as I did.  

9. Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (Might Repurchase)- I finished this up completely. I really liked it, it was a cool moisturizer. Many days I mixed it in with my face primer and it worked like a charm. I might repurchase this once all my other moisturizers are finished. 

10. Darphin Stimulskin Plus Multi Coverage (Not Repurchase)- Honestly, this product was amazing! I used it at night and in the morning I could really tell a difference. The only bad thing is the full size is $300, out of my price range. 

11. gud Pearnormal Activity (Might Repurchase)- I LOVED this scent. I might repurchase this because it reminded me a lot of Bath and Body Works Body Creams which I love and this is more accessible to me.  

12. Juice Beauty Age Defy Green Apple Moisturizer (Not Repurchase)- It was a nice moisturizer, but there are better ones out there, that are cheaper. 

13. Bath and Body Works Country Chic Shower gel (Not Repurchase)- I really liked the scent of this shower gel, but I won't repurchase it because I have bar soap to get through first. 

14. Tocca Body Exfoliant (Not Repurchase)- I ended up putting this in the Country Chic Shower Gel and really liked it. I would love to find a body was with exfoliants in them, so far no luck.

15. Burt's Bees Wild Lettuce Toner (Might Repurchase)- My sister-in-law gave this to me and it worked pretty well. The scent was exactly like lettuce something I wasn't expecting.

 

16. Avon Foot Works LAvender Overnight Treatment Cream (Not Repurchase)- I received this in a set one Christmas and it was nice, but other creams do just as well and are more accessible. 

17. Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 1% BHA Lotion (Might Repurchase)- I won a giveaway and was able to order some things from Paula's Choice and this was a sample that came with it. I also got the 2% and I am excited to use it because of how well this did on my skin. 

Random Empties

18. Great Value Cinnamon Apple Automatic Spray (Repurchase)- I love when I come home and my house smells good. This is perfect and inexpensive for certain automatic room sprays. 

19 & 20. Dailies AquaComfort Plus Contacts (Repurchase)- I love my daily contacts! They work so much better for me than monthly ones.

21. Tide Pods (Repurchase)- I love this! They make laundry easier which I love and are worth the money! 

22. Arm & Hammer Mentadent (Might Repurchase)- I really like trying new toothpaste. I have used this kind almost all year and when I went to the dentist...NO CAVITIES! 

And those were my August Empties!  By the end of 2015, I want to have 365 empties. November (22) + October (23) + September (39) + August (44)+ July (35) + June (22) +May (23) +April (21) + March (16) + February (19) + January (23) means I am (287/365)! November 30th is the 334th day of the year. Which means I still have some catching up to do if I want to finish 365 products by the end of the year.
