2014 Yearly Favorites

I can't believe 2014 is over! This year was pretty exciting! I am ready for 2015 because I will be graduating college and starting my career, as well as moving hopefully somewhere fun! Enjoy!

1. Eleven Perfection Eye Creme + Concealer- I received this in my Birchbox earlier this year and have been using it most mornings to give my under eyes hydration and a little bit of color. Under my eyes are white so I have to add color to them and this helped on days I wasn't wearing much makeup. Many days I would add concealer on top of this product. I loved this product this year!

2. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12- Hour Full Coverage Foundation in Medium- My mom gave me this foundation a little over a year ago and I have loved it! It is a little dark for me right now, but when I can make it work I use it! It has great coverage, but feels so light on your skin. It is amazing I will be getting the right color for me when I use up a few of my foundations I already have.

3. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent- I believe I have purchased this powder three or four times this year and I am in love with it. It sets my foundation and concealer without ever looking cakey or powdery. I can even put it over foundations that have that issue and it looks perfect. I always get it in transparent because then I can use it no matter how tan or ghostly I am at the time.

4. E.L.F. Baked Blush in Pinktastic- I purchased this blush about a year ago and ever since June or July I have used it to highlight and I in love with it. I always go back to it even when I try other highlighters. I think it gives my skin such a gorgeous glow and it is the perfect shade for my skin.

5. 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Blush in Strawberry- This blush broke over a year ago and it has been sitting on my vanity and this year I wanted to use it up (it hasn't happened yet). I loved this plus because I realized how versatile it is. I used it year round and it worked perfectly and I loved it!

6. Revlon Color Stay Eye Shadow Quad in Siren- This year I have used up several eye shadows, but this pallet  seemed to be one I was constantly using this whole year. A lot of the eye shadows I was focusing on were matte shades so when I wanted shimmer I reached for this and I love the colors.

7. Palladio Eyeliner in Sky Blue- I am not the biggest fan of eyeliner, but this year I really got into blue eyeliner. The blue defines my eyes and brightens them up, but it's not as harsh as black eyeliner. This is the blue eyeliner I reached for a majority of the year.

8. Mally Volumizing Mascara- I received two of these in Birchboxes this year which I was perfectly fine with. I think I received one in my January and one in my June which was perfect timing! I loved this mascara I found it more lengthening then volumizing, but it worked well on its own but with a volumizing mascara it was perfect!

9. The Body Shop's Coconut Lip Butter- I have had this lip butter for a few years, but this year I was pretty good about using it before I went to bed. I could definitely tell a difference when I didn't use it at night. I also used it in the morning before I put on my makeup so when I am finished I can put on any lip product and this balm will moisturize my lips.

10. Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm in Pixi Pink- I received this in my May Birchbox and fell in love! I used it a lot during the summer time because it was perfect to throw on and give my lips color, but also moisturize them. This is my favorite lip balm!

11. Covergirl Wetslicks Amazement in Un-Wined- I have talked about this lip gloss for a few years and I am still VERY in love with it. First, the color is amazing. You can put on a light layer but you can layer it up and it becomes an opaque purple color. It also has a gorgeous shine and the mint seems to moisturize my lips.

12. Korres Body Butter in Bergamot Pear-  I received two of these last year with the corresponding body wash and I used them for most of the year. I love the scent and it moisturized so well, I had to be careful how much I applied in the summertime.
13. Equate Regular Nail Polish Remover- The reason this is in my Yearly favorites is because you stick your finger in a sponge to get your nail polish off. It is so much faster then putting it on a cottonball. This works perfectly

14. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Light & Blonde- I love this dry shampoo! It works wonders on my greasy 2nd or 3rd day hair! I have blonde hair and a lot of other dry shampoos left a white residue in my hair that was hard to remove. I have also had a lot of trouble with bottles that dry shampoos come in. They always broke on me and I have never had a problem with the Batiste!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what your favorite product you used this year was! Have a great day!

NOTD: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Right Said Red

Sorry this is a day late, this week has been a little crazy for me! This week was Christmas and I wanted a color that worked with the outfits I was planning on wearing for Christmas Eve and Christmas (links below). I realized neither of my outfits had much color, so a bright red nail polish was perfect! I chose Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Right Said Red, I got this a few years ago in an half Christmas sale. I love the Sally Hansen polishes! They have great lasting power and hardly chip (These pictures are after 6 days of wear.) Enjoy!

OOTD: Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve I got to spend some time with my birth-dad's family and my family opening presents and going to Christmas Eve service! Christmas Eve is always when I dress up and Christmas Day is more causual (check out my Instagram on Christmas to see what I wore).

Both the dress and shoes are by the brand Merona. I got the shoes at Target a few years ago and I just got the dress at Goodwill two days ago!

I love the texture of this dress! (Sorry my camera strap got in the way.)

I hope you enjoyed this blog post. I love sharing my outfits with you all and I added some fun pictures. A video will be up soon showing you the outfit up close, as well as a better view of the booties. Have a wonderful day!

December 2014 Favorites

Welcome to my December 2014 Favorites. I am going to show you what I have been loving this month!

1. E.L.F. Acne Fighting Foundation in Ivory- This foundation is great! It is only $6 and has amazing coverage! The only negative I see from this foundation is that at times it can look a little cakey depending on the powder you use.

2. Revlon Colorstay in Siren- This eye shadow pallet I have been loving! It is perfect for the holidays. The eye-shadow pallet I am working on using up is all natural matte colors, so it is nice to pull this add and add some gorgeous shimmer to your look.

3. Face Oils (Truth Art Beauty Face Nourish, Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, & Paula's Choice Resist Intensive Wrinkle Repair Retinol Serum)- I have been loving face oils this month. I received all three samples in my birchbox over the last year or so and I recently cleaned out my bathroom and decided to try them out again and try to use them up. I fell in love I would mix the Keihls with my moisturizer in the morning and the other two at night and my skin felt so moisturized!

4. Ruffian's Hedge Fund- I did a blog post on this nail polish click here to see it. I loved this color this month and the last power is amazing!

5. Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Siren in Scarlet- I have been loving this lipstick this month! I have been wanting a red lipstick and when I got this last month I fell in love. I am still trying to figure out how to NOT get it on my teeth, but it is a great lipstick that doesn't dry out your lips.

6. Covergirl Wetslicks Amazement in Un-Wined- This lip gloss is one I reach for every winter and fall! It is a gorgeous color and it goes on so well and stays on for quite a while. I feel like the mint makes my lips feel amazing!

I hope you enjoyed! Let me know what your favorites are down below! Have a great day!

NOTD: Wet n Wild Wild Shine Blue Moon

This week was finals week and so I didn't paint my nails till later this week. I wanted a nail polish that would go on easy and look nice, but it would easily come off later so I could paint my nail I am going to have for Christmas. I chose Wet n Wild's Wild Shine Blue Moon. This is a gorgeous shimmery navy blue color. I love this color for this time of year. Colors that look almost black but have color are my colors! This color does take awhile to dry and in the process I had to grab my cat and my nails got a little messed up, sorry!

First Impressions: Royal Apothic Cuppa Cuppa Firming Tea Treatment Mask

I am going to start reviewing some of the products I received in my Birchbox through out the month. I always have so much to say in my reviews a month later! Today we are going to do a first impressions on the Royal Apothic Cuppa Cuppa Firming Tea Treatment Mask, I received this in my December Birchbox and can't wait to try it out.

Before
Brand: Royal Apothic I had never heard of this brand before receiving this in my birchbox. On the brand's website its says "The idea for Royal Apothic was born in a London bookstore, where designer and cosmetics veteran Sean O’Mara discovered an old apothecary manual tucked amid the dusty tomes. Inspired by the fragrances and formulas within, he developed a line of bath and body products that are as evocative to the senses as they are effective on skin."

Product: This product is clay based. It is has black, green and white tea and other great things for your skin! It looked a little weird, but I like it when masks have color so I know exactly where the product is going.

My Face: The last two weeks I have had a lot of projects and finals. As a result, my face has been freaking out, it needed a good mask! I also washed my face with the Aveeno ultra-calming cleanser before I applied this mask.

During
Feeling: The product texture was like a mouse but when you put it on your face you could feel the sand like particles gently exfoliating your skin. At first like most masks you can move your face but after 10 minutes (you can take it off after 8, but I like leaving masks on a little longer) you can't move it. I liked this mask because even though it did get hard it didn't feel like it was pulling my skin which I liked.

After
Effects: I felt the cooling long after I washed my face! It made my skin feel so soft. I love it! My skin also feels firmer and looks a little brighter!
Price: $58
Overall, I love this product. Even though this is a little pricey it is defiently one of the face masks I am going to consider buying when I use up the face mask I already have. I was planning on using my Birchbox points, so the price is a little less of a big deal.  What is your favorite face mask? Have a wonderful day!

NOTD: Ruffian's Hedge Fund

This week was a gloomy one. I tried to get pictures of my nail polish in the sun, but it didn't happen. This week I decided to continue on the fall nail trend and go with Ruffian's Hedge Fund. I received this in my Birchbox about a year and half ago and I love it! It is perfect for this time of year. Birchbox describes the color as a green foil polish with a strong metallic finish and a hint of gold shimmer that really pops when the light hits it just right. Below are the pictures! Let me know if you think their description is right.
