Project Pan Update #1

Today is the first update of my Project Pan! I am so excited to share this journey with you. I picked 10 (it became 12) products I want to focus on using up. If I used up one product I am going to pick another one to replace it. On my YouTube Channel I am doing a makeup inventory series and you can see just how much makeup I have. One of my resolutions was to use things that I have up and this is one way I am accomplishing that goal! I will be updating you every two weeks on the progress. Below are the pictures the left is the start and right is two weeks later.

Face

1. NYC Sunny Bronzer- This bronzer still won't die! I see a little progress, but hopefully we can see major project next time. I love this bronzer, but I really would like to try some others.

2. 100% Pure Strawberry Pigmented BlushI love this blush. I can see a little progress between the two pictures which makes me very happy!

3. E.L.F. Complete Coverage Concealer in Light- I hit pan on another color! I have been using a light layer of foundation and been using these concealers all over my face and it has been working out well. Hopefully, I can hit pan on the last color by next update, it is getting close.

Eyes

4. Blush Cream Eye shadow in Azure- I took out the stopper in this just to see if I could so, it is hard to see exactly how much I have left. I have been using this mainly between a primer and my shimmer pallet (below) to keep my eye shadow in place and it has been working wonders!

5. E.L.F. Shimmer Eye Pallet in SunsetI have been using this pallet as an eye base and on some days a highlight. This pallet can look greasy, so I use it as a highlight on days that my face looks dry and it helps it.

6. E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color in NeutralsI hit pan on the dark brown color! That color actually shows up as a clear shimmer color which I have been loving putting over my matte eyeshadows in the pallet below.

7. Mom Pallet- I hit pan on one of the lip products! I love that this is the eye shadow in my project pan because it is so easy in the morning! I can do my makeup and not have to worry about what I am wearing because these matte neutral shade go with anything!

Lips

8. Body Shop Coconut Lip ButterThe more I use this lip balm the more I am loving it! It really moisturizes my lips! I am glad I already have other lip butters  to use from the Body Shop when this is gone.

9. E.L.F. Glitter Gloss in Bronze Bling- Before I started this project I thought this was a great lip gloss but the more I use it the more I can feel the glitter which I don't like. I am glad this is going fast because the glitter is getting annoying.

10. Wet n' Wild in 502A- I have been trying to use this up and its a slow process I am really going to focus on reapplying throughout the day so this lipstick can be gone. It doesn't last long so if I reapply it won't be using it just to use it up.

Random

11. E.L.F. Makeup Mist & SetI have been trying to use this product. I have noticed it helps my makeup stay on a little bit longer. I don't think I am quite as far as my line is on the bottle. (It was wishful thinking.)

12. Summers Hill Hand Lotion & Body CreamI finished the hand cream the day after I filmed my update! Both of these should be gone and I should be able to add another product by the next update! Get excited!

Extra: St. Ives Apricot ScrubI finally figured out where I started. I don't think I really used that much up, but the first line was my guess. I have been using this almost daily and it has really helped my dry skin!

I hope you enjoyed! Let me know if you are doing a project pan I would love to see your progress! I am hoping my next update two or three products will be done so I can add in some more!

1. Paul Mitchel Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner- I found this shampoo and conditioner in travel bottles this month and I was so excited! I love these shampoo and conditioner! They  have a wonderful minty smell and make my hair feel amzing! They are a little pricey, but so worth it!

2. Dr. Jart Ceramidin- I got this in my Birchbox last month and have fell in love with this as a night moisturizer. I can tell a difference if I forget to put this on one night. I will be purchasing the full size once this and another night cream is done!

3. W3LL People Brightening Stick in Moonstone- I also got this product last month in my Birchbox. I love the highlighter, it is a perfect color to give my skin some color without being too dark.

4. Mascaras (Mally Volumizing & Benefit BADgal Lash) - I have been loving this combo the last few months! I use the Mally Volumizing mascara as my lengthening on the top and bottom and then I layer Benefit's Bad Gal Lash on top to add some volume and it is amazing!!

5. Zoya's Jules- I haven't really painted my nails this month, but I did wear this color and absolutely love it! It is a perfect fun neutral!

January 2015 Birchbox Unboxing

I received my January 2015 Birchbox over a week ago, but with my schedule this was the first time I could really sit down and look at the products I received. Birchbox is a monthly subscription that is a flat $10, I love it and have been getting it for years! This post will be showing you the products I got in my box. I will have a review post up, in a month, telling you how I like these products.

1. Essential Elements Wake Up Rosemary Body Lotion- If you saw my Project Pan Post you will see that I am trying to use up a lotion, however I am doing really well and am excited to add this lotion in with that one! This lotion's packaging is adorable I don't know how effective it will for getting product out. I liked the smell of this lotion, it was very natural.

2. Katherine Cosmetics Everyday Eyeliner in Brown- Recently, I have been trying to be more consistent with eyeliner. (I have a lot and I need to start getting some use out of them.) This eyeliner will be perfect because it won't be harsh and I can easily smudge it in if I mess up. I am excited to use this!

3. Key West Aloe Gentles Aloe Facial Cleanser- This month has been a little stressful (in a great way!) My face has been showing some effects, this cleanser is suppose to cleans calm and re-balance which sounds perfect!

4. REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask- I saw this and normally I am not a huge fan of masks, unless they are mud masks. I am interested to try this because it is suppose to exfoliate and brighten two things my face needs! So, I hope I am pleasantly surprised!

5. Sweet Science Invisible Daily Tint SPF 35- I love products like this! They have a tint, and SPF  it is a perfect combination especially on days, that you just want the basics.

I hope you enjoyed and are excited about the review post! Don't forget to watch the video for more of a first impressions! Have a wonderful day!

NOTD: Zoya's Jules

I am sorry this is later than normal. I thought I took pictures in the early part of the week, but than on Thursday when I was going to work on the post I couldn't find the photos. So, these pictures were taken a week after I painted them (you can see how well it holds up). I chose this color because with my internship I wanted a color that was super neutral, but has some sparkle. Zoya's Jules was perfect!

Inside- Flash

Inside - Natural Lighting (This picture was edited, to make it a little clearer, the colors weren't altered.)

Outside- Cloudy

Inside- Yellow Lighting
I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what your longest lasting nail polish is. Have a wonderful week. My January 2015 Birchbox Unboxing will be up tomorrow!

Project 12 Pan: Introduction

Today is the start of my Project Pan (well technically it was Saturday) ! I am so excited to share this journey with you. I am starting a Project Pan that is going to last through the middle of May. I picked 10 (it became 12) products I want to focus on using up. I f I used up one product I am going to pick another one to replace it. On my YouTube Channel I am doing a makeup inventory series and you can see just how much makeup I have. One of my resolutions was to use things that I have up and this is one way I am accomplishing that goal! I will be updating you every two weeks on the progress.

Face

1. NYC Sunny Bronzer- This bronzer won't die! I have seriously been using this all 2014 and I feel like I have been making no progress! I put it in my Project Pan so I can see the progress I can make, so I can start using Benefit Hoola Bronzer.

2. 100% Pure Strawberry Pigmented Blush- This blush is awesome! It is so pigmented and the color works for all seasons. It broke over a year ago and I put it in a Pyrex container and I want it off my vanity so that is why I decided to include this in my Project Pan.

3. E.L.F. Complete Coverage Concealer in Light- I have some concealers that I want to get through as well as ones I want to try, so I thought I would include this pallet because I don't like to keep products that I have to use my hand each time I use it.

Eyes

4. Blush Cream Eye shadow in Azure- I have had this cream eye shadow for a long time and I received it from someone, so I want to use it up. It is also not my favorite because I have to use a primer with it which I don't like for cream eye shadows.

5. E.L.F. Shimmer Eye Pallet in Sunset- I have been using this pallet for a lot of the year and it is time for it to go. I use this mainly for a eye base but again it doesn't last without a primer. I also have been using this for a highlight and it works well. I am hoping this doesn't last too much longer.

6. E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color in Neutrals- I figured I would include this pallet, so I can add some shimmer to my eye look (eye below pallet). The lid is also broken, so I don't want to move with it. The first three colors are beautifully pigmented the darker brown color is simply a shimmer top coat which works perfectly with the other pallet.

7. Mom Pallet- I got this pallet from my mom and I have not idea who it is by or anything hence the name. I love the eye shadows in the pallet, they are so buttery and pigmented! The lip colors are also very pretty! I am excited to continue to use it and finish this pallet up. (There are two on this one since I didn't know the name of this pallet)

Lips

8. Body Shop Coconut Lip Butter- This lip butter is so moisturizing! I don't like the packaging because I feel like my hands have to be perfectly clean before I some on. I also don't like the coconut scent or that it leaves my lips white. I use this lip butter at night before bed and my lips feel great in the morning.

9. E.L.F. Glitter Gloss in Bronze Bling- I have a lot of lip gloss so I thought this would be a perfect one to start with. because it has some color and shimmer, but isn't super pigmented. I also love that even though the shimmer looks chunky it is a very smooth!

10. Wet n' Wild in 502A- I decided on this product because I want to get some use out of my lipsticks and I have had this one for awhile and it is really easy to wear because its not super pigmented. When I was looking through my lipsticks I decided I like so many of my others ones better than this one so it is time to get it out of my collection.

Random

11. E.L.F. Makeup Mist & Set- I have had this for a little while now and because of the order I do my makeup I don't use this at all. I have changed my order this last week and have tried to use this. I am going to try and be consistent and see if I like products like this and if they make a difference.

12. Summers Hill Hand Lotion & Body Cream- I got this a few years ago and I wanted to use it before it goes bad. I have a lot of lotions and hand creams so I thought this would be a great start. Side note, I use hand creams on my body so this shouldn't take me too long.

Extra: St. Ives Apricot Scrub- I wanted to include this in my project pan, but I can't tell how much I have left. I am going to try and be consistent with this product (my face responses well to exfoliants) and figure out how much I have left.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you are doing a project pan or have any questions regarding this topic. Have a wonderful day!

December 2014 Birchbox Review

Welcome back! Today, I am going to Review the Products I got in my December 2014 Birchbox Unboxing Video and Post. I love getting Birchbox, it is a fun surprise to look forward to each month.

1. Davines Replumping Superactive- I used this hair spray after my showers this month and I did like that it didn't make my hair greasy. Other than that I don't feel like it did anything special to my hair. I want something that makes my hair soft and detangles it. My hair doesn't have any volume, so I was disappointed that this did nothing.

This is the same picture from my Empties Post. They got thrown away before I took another picture.
    a. Davines Replumping Shampoo and Conditioner- After trying this combo my hair still    didn't provide any plumbing properties and all three of these products smelled like lemon      and floral which I like separately, but together it is not a pleasant scent for me.

2. English Laundry in Signature for Her- I fell in love with this perfume! Birchbox says it is a charming blend perfectly melds top notes of rose geranium with a backdrop of woody spicy and musky notes.

3. Mirenesse's Mattfinity Lip Rouge in Sydney- I love lip products! If you have been watching my Makeup Inventory you will see what I mean! I was excited to see this product because the color is gorgeous and it is not drying in the slightest. It does dry matte, but before it dries it easily slips around on my lips which is not okay. It also wears off pretty easily, I wasn't impressed because especially with brighter colors I want it to last long time so it doesn't look odd when it wears off.

4. Royal Apothic's Cuppa Cuppa Firming Tea Treatment Mask- I did a review on this product the first time I used it, I have used it multiple times since. I love this mask! It feels great while I am using it (a cooling sensation) and it makes my skin feel amazing afterwards! A product I might just have to purchase the full size of.

5. W3LL People's Bio Brightener Stick in Moonstone- I have recently really been getting into highlighters, especially in the winter when I feel like my skin has less glow and color. I loved this product. This sample product was in a jar, while the full size is in a stick form, I think the consistency of the product would work great in the stick from, but the jar was a little hard to work with, but this is also a product I am thinking about getting.

I hope you enjoyed! Let me know what your favorite cream highlighter is down below. Have a great day!

Life Update

Sorry this didn't go up on Friday, I was planning on a nail or outfit post, but neither worked out. I thought I would post an update since I haven't done one in awhile

This week was my first week at my internship which means I am in an elementary school for 8 hrs/day and the school is 30 min. away so it makes for a long day. We did get a "cold day" on Wednesday due to wind chill temperatures, so that was nice. I am still getting used to getting up early and keeping up with my first graders.

I am in a first grade classroom on an Army Base which is awesome! There are so many students with different backgrounds and languages. I am so excited to learn from them and my cooperating teacher this year!

CUTE STORY ALERT!
We have an adorable little girl who speaks German (I think) and is learning English. On Friday she was given a sticker with a dog and the word genius on it. I asked her if she knew what the word was and she said no. I told her that it said genius and she said that must be the dog's name. I then said "Maybe, but I think it is talking about you." She gave me this little smile. I then asked her if she knew what it meant and she said no. I explained, "That is was someone who was super smart!" She gave me the biggest smile and her eyes got really big and she gave me a huge hug!

In case you can't tell I love my students! They are precious! We have bonded so much in the three short days. Monday was a teacher work day.

Other than than that, nothing much has been going on. My husband and I have been slowly trying to sell things and declutter. This is going to be a whole semester thing and I am so happy we are starting now! Another thing I have been working on is my attitude, I had some things happen over Christmas break that really upset and hurt me. I am still trying to figure out how I am going to handle them. In case you are wondering Andy (my husband) and I are great! He has definitely been my rock during this. I love him!

I hope you enjoyed this update! Let me know if you want to hear more cute and funny stories each week! Have a wonderful day!
